MY STORY

In November 2013, while recovering from surgery, I started using adult colouring books as a way to relax.  I found it relaxing and therapeutic.  After moving to Vancouver Island in May 2018, I found myself walking the various beaches in the area, picking up different ocean tumbled pebbles, seaglass and pottery.  This was calming listen to the ocean waves as they hit the beaches.

After several months I had quite the collection.  What to do?

At the suggestion of my wife, Diane and daughter, Colleen, I started putting some art pieces together.  At first very simple pieces that I'd put in a simple shadow box frame and sell on Facebook Marketplace.  Today my art has become more elaborate using pieces of driftwood, dried flowers and stacking the pebbles and sea glass to give a three dimensional look.

I also started selling on Etsy and have been lucky enough to ship my one of a kind pieces to the US, England, Brusells and across Canada.

And that's how Rock On Art by Dmac started.
